Plastics and the Environment: How Euro-Matic Uses Plastic Responsibly

Plastics and the environment are at the heart of an ongoing global conversation. Every day, we see the damage caused by single-use plastics—polluted rivers, oceans clogged with waste, and ecosystems struggling to cope. The evidence is clear: plastic pollution threatens wildlife and degrades our environment. That’s why finding sustainable solutions is no longer optional—it’s essential.

While governments debate global policies, individuals and businesses must also take action. At Euro-Matic, we understand the concerns. Yes, we rely on plastic to make our products—but we’re fully committed to using it responsibly and sustainably.

How We Make Our Plastic Use Responsible

We never produce throwaway items. Instead, we design our balls to last. For example, our reservoir bird balls have a lifespan of over 20 years, and our playpen balls last at least 10 years. This durability means fewer replacements and less waste over time.

To reduce our footprint further:

  • We reuse and recycle all production offcuts right in our factory.

  • We work with each customer to recommend the right material for their needs, ensuring the longest possible product life.

  • We support customers with cleaning solutions to extend usage.

  • All our balls are fully recyclable.

Why Plastic Still Makes Sense for Us

Plastic isn’t just useful—it’s unmatched for our specific applications:

  • It resists harsh chemicals and doesn’t degrade easily.

  • It floats, making it perfect for technical and bird balls.

  • It can be soft and malleable, which is ideal for playpen balls.

  • It provides insulation and helps prevent evaporation in water-based systems.

Although we don’t currently use recycled plastic due to strength limitations, we constantly monitor supply chains for better alternatives. For us, performance and sustainability go hand in hand.

Our Commitment to Plastics and the Environment

At Euro-Matic, plastics and the environment guide how we innovate and improve. We aim to balance function with responsibility—offering long-lasting products that reduce waste and support a cleaner future.
